The fantastic pop culture poetry site Barrelhouse was kind enough to post an essay of mine for their Valentines Day themed series “POP Love!”

Given the prompt of celebrity crushes and that weird intersection between real love and fake people, my mind went back to high school and the Britney Spears shrine in my locker. The whole experience taught me that you can love anything and everyone you want, as long as you never act too genuine about it.
